Workout Wednesday #6

Well guys and gals, I had another great workout today. I am even surprising myself with how I really am able to gain muscle and strength while losing body fat. There is a lot of people in the fitness industry that say this cannot be done, but obviously something is working because I really just feel so good and strong in the gym every week. Today I broke 200lbs for my squats which is wimpy I know, but fantastic for me. The best part is, I did it with ease! I did 205 8 times, Which means that I will be upping my weight again next week! Super fun to see the progress in strength and in body fat percentage. I am also very excited to get my body fat calipers in the mail this week to check where I’m at!

Lift Progress this week other than the squats and deadlift has been kind of minimal as far as putting more weight on the bar for my lifts. However, I am starting to dominate a couple of them like my bench, and my rest pause incline fly’s which I should be able to bump up soon. Another thing I have to always be cautious of is my safety while I’m lifting. Sure, this is something everyone needs to be aware of but because I work out along in my home gym, I have to be extra careful that I don’t get stuck underneath the bar, so my lifts tend to go up even more slowly just to ensure that I can easily handle all the reps without failure.

I don’t have a whole lot for you all today, things are going well and though preparing for the holidays is keeping me busy, I have still managed to stay on track with my diet and my workouts. So I’ll go ahead and pat myself on the back for that one, because I am on my 6th week of this journey of mine and I have not missed a single workout. That’s 18 workouts in 6 weeks….Killin’ it!

I do want to say that I am really excited for my post on Friday as I have some awesome stuff I can’t wait to talk about! So be sure to check back this Friday for my Friday’s Chalk Talk post so you don’t miss out!

As always, remember

You’re not getting any younger.
