A Formal Introduction

Hello there, my name is Trevor Bookout. I really do enjoy writing a lot. So much in fact that I figured using this blog as an outlet for my thoughts and interests is just what I need in my life right now. Honestly, life is crazy but beautiful. I am a very nostalgic person. I love to relive the past in my head and watch as all the dots connect to get me to where I am now. I consider myself to be a very driven person as well. Growing up I have always loved playing sports and staying physically fit. I also fell in love with music and still have a passion for it to this day (more stories on that to come).

As you can probably tell, none of my writing especially in “A day in the life of” Category will be very scripted or thought out. I enjoy to just write as I would normally talk so forgive me for the jumping around. Right now I am I guess what you would consider a “Newly Wed.” Although, my wife and I have been together for over 5 years, we recently got married on July 9th of 2016. The wedding was beautiful and being with her truly brings out the best of my characterisitics. I do not have any kids just yet, but we are ready to start building our family so that will be a huge and exciting step to take.

I am currently 25 years old, my birthday just recently passed so I am looking forward to cheaper car insurance and the ability to rent a car without extra fees ;). Right now my life pretty much consists of working, working out, and watching my brother-in-law who has special needs on the weekends.  Fair warning, a lot of my personal posts will be related to this guy. His name is Tyler, he is 24 and he is diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome. In a nutshell, this means that he has a severe type of epilepsy. To the point where it has made him in the need of 24/7 care. He doesn’t talk but he has a huge personality and it’s impossible to not fall in love with him. He is the backbone of our family and because of him we are all extremely close. Sure, there are some hard days just like having a little kid, but at the end of the day it’s all worth it and we wouldn’t change it for the world.

Anyways, I’m sure you will hear all about him and the crazy stuff we go through so back to me. I have always had the yearning to be in the public eye. I’m not really sure why that is but ever since I can remember it’s been scratching away in the back of my head. In high school and even a couple of years after graduation I really wanted to make it big in my band. Play shows for hundreds of people all singing my lyrics along with me. I guess thats part of the reason for this blog, in hopes that somehow I’ll be on a stage again of sorts. I ended up going through some pretty tough financial situations after owning my own restaurant at 21 years old and being in a band wasn’t paying the bills to say the least. I needed to move on from that so I could afford to marry the girl of my dreams and provide a least a little security for us moving forward.

Currently I work at a Medicare insurance brokerage as a supervisor. It’s a good gig for now, pays pretty well and the work isn’t too bad. I am also currently working towards my goal of 12% bodyfat. Right now I am sitting around 20-23%. So be sure to check back in on the “Fitness and Nutrition” portion to follow my tips and tricks as well as knowledge I have learned through countless hours of research *clears throat* (youtube, forums, and trial and error). So I will be really excited to get back down to at least 12% afterwhich I plan to re-assess and maybe shoot for 10%. Be sure to not miss out on that because I will be sharing some valuable stuff and answering any questions that come up. Other than that guys, I think this post is probably too long so I’ll cut if off now. Thanks for reading and be sure check back in later, AKA hit that follow button if your cool. 🙂
